Le documentaire Matagh. A Sacrifice for Safety de Sara Nalbandyan et Yervan Rumyan est l’un des résultats du projet de recherche sur le sacrifice animal
dans les sociétés chrétiennes coordonné par Pierluigi Lanfranchi (AMU) etfinancé par la MMSH et
l’Institut ARKAIA. Le documentaire montre le rituel arménien du matagh tel qu’il est pratiqué par une famille de réfugiés du Haut-Karabakh/Artsakh.
La projection du film sera précédée d’une introduction par Patrick Donabédian (LA3M) et Yulia Antonian (Université d’État d’Erevan)
et sera suivie d’une discussion avec les auteurs du documentaire.
Pierluigi Lanfranchi animera l’événement.

The documentary Matagh. A Sacrifice for Safety by Sara Nalbandyan and Yervan Rumyan is one of the results of the research project
on animal sacrifice in Christian societies coordinated by Pierluigi Lanfranchi (AMU, TDMAM) and
financed by the MMSH and the Arkaia Institute. The documentary shows the Armenian ritual of matagh as it is practiced by a family of refugees
from Nagorno-Karabakh/Artsakh. The screening will be preceded by an introduction by Patrick Donabédian (AMU, LA3M)
and Yulia Antonian (Yerevan State University) and will be followed by a discussion with the authors of the documentary. Pierluigi Lanfranchi will moderate the event.
